Organizational Behavior Management (OBM)

Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) is an applied behavioral science technology leveraging psychological principles to the workplace to drive performance improvement. This is approached in a scientific manner, with baseline information collected so we can analyze the impact of each OBM intervention. We utilize only positive reinforcement in our application for both ethical and practical reasons.

This technology can be applied to sales or operations and involves a series of interventions designed to maximize individual performance every step of the way.  Identify key behaviors for success, measure them and reward top performance.  You will be amazed at what can be achieved in a relatively short period of time.  OBM, or Performance Management, contains the following modules, which must be undertaken in totality to achieve the full benefit.

Targeting

Targeting is a systematic process where we work together to define your organizational outcomes, and the decompose it down through the organization to the individual accomplishment. The end result is a set of company, departmental, divisional, team, and individual goals that will achieve your short and long term goals.

Tracking

You get what you measure. Once we identify our targets, the next step is to determine what and how to measure.

Task Clarification

During this step, we clearly define to employees and managers what their performance goals are as well a exactly what must be done – and how to do it – to achieve them. Many organizations report a substantial increase in performance from this step alone.

Feedback

Feedback in an OBM intervention is presented in visual form (charts) as frequently as possible. We train managers in effective feedback techniques.

Reinforcement

This is the keystone of effective performance management. We will teach managers the principles of effective positive reinforcement to drive performance and morale!

Goal-Setting

It’s imperative that employees and managers continue to understand their goals.
